Overview
This page provides an index to articles on this wiki profiling places in the mid-seventeenth century which are connected to this wiki's primary documents.
Most of the articles are currently place holders or stubs.
The articles comprise material on towns and ports, particularly in England and continental Europe. There is some coverage of buildings and localities in London and its environs, and in some English counties.
The focus of the articles is firmly on the mid-seventeenth century. A key aim of an article should be to guide scholars to underused or poorly known primary textual and visual sources
Contributors are extremely welcome.
Articles are now being sought on places on or within the Barbary Coast, the Ottoman Empire, and the East and West Indies.
Digital images of engravings, wood cuts, water colours, pastels, and oil paintings are being sought for all entries. All images contributed should be out of copyright and should be posted with an entry titled 'Image credits & copyright information.'
