How you can help

A significant number of individuals mentioned in the correspondence of Sir George Oxenden, 1662-1669, remain unidentified.

Many of the individuals are mentioned just once in passing in letters sent to Sir George Oxenden. However, by firmly identifying them, it will add to our knowledge of the networks of friends, acquaintances, and contacts of the Oxenden family in this period.

You could contribute to identifying these individuals in several ways.

Firstly, you could make an identification and write a short foot note supported by primary and/or secondary sources to accompany the letter or letters in which the individual is mentioned.

Secondly, you could write a short biographical profile and post it to the wiki, using the standard biographical template
