Transcription

To the third he saith he had on board the sayd shipp when she
was seized a letter and a bill of lading for the merchants
salt directed by the sayd Lony who delivered the same to this
deponent to the sayd heysen, and this deponent delivered the
same att Plymouth to the Commissioners for prize goods there, where
he was informed by one of the Commissioners that the same were sent
into this Court: And otherwise except negatively to this
Interrogatory he saith he cannot depose saving that he [#]

To the 4th he saith his sayd owners all inhabit in Amsterdam
and appoynted this deponent master of the sayd vessell, and they
in Aprill last sent this deponent from Amsterdam upon a
trading designe with generall order by word of mouth to
seeke for freight in ffrance to the best proffit, and
since that tyme this deponent hath traded to and fro
for freight. And the sayd Heysen according to a bill
of lading and a Charter party in this behalfe made (which
was sent by land) was to pay the freight for the present
merchants lading of salt att Cherbourg aforesayd [#]

And
further cannot depose,

To the 5th Interrogatory he saith the lading of the sayd vessell
is twenty six moy of salt of the measure of Pelliquen for
merchants accompt. And one last and an halfe of salt for
this deponent and shipps Company for which this deponent payd
after the rate of two and twenty guilders per moye: And
further saving as aforesayd cannot depose.

To the 6th he saith the sayd vessell being a small hoy hath noe
gunnes powder or ammunition, but hath two Cables and one
halfe Cable, three Anchors, a foresayle, a bezane,
a mizzene, a [?Clewrock sayle or sprittsayle, a topsayle,
a main sayle a Breivovk sayle, and a bonnet, and
furniture fitt for such a vessell being together with
the vessell worth about five thousand guilders- And
further not having any sylver gold or Jewells on board
him he cannot depose./

To the 7th he saith that the provisions on board the sayd
vessell were halfe a tonne of flesh, two firkins of butter
five loaves of bread, and a hogshead of bevergae, and
some other things all for the shipps Companye. And
