for Amsterdam, which Charter party hee delivered in the downes
to the Vice Admirall of the white English squadron: And further
otherwise than negatively he saith he cannot depose saving [#]

To the fourth he saith the said Owners keepe their families att and in
the respective places in holland aforesaid, and the said Cornelius
Mes being the principall Owner made this deponent master of
the sayd shipp, and gave this deponent order for this voyage
by word of mouth and thereby ordered him for ffrance to seeke
freight for Amsterdam, but this deponent finding none accepted
of a freight for havre de Grace, whither the sayd salt was
consigned to a ffrenchman there dwelling who was to pay this
deponent freight for the same by vertue of a Charter party signed
by this deponent at Brouaye, and sent over land to Haver de
Grace for feare of the English shipps. [#]

quantitiy of the

And further not
remembring the name of the sayd Consignee he cannot
depose.
To the fifth he saith his lading is eleven hundred and a quarter
of salt of french measure all for accompt of the ffrench, and
two hogsheads of wyne for this deponents owne accompt which
cost this deponent fifteene guilders per hogshead. the price of the
salt or particular owners he knoweth not.
To the 6th he saith the sayd shipp hath two gunnes, about fifty pound
of powder, six musketts, and other ammunition proportionable
four Cables three anchors one warpe anchor, 2 blind sayle
2 foresayle, two greate sayles. 2 bonne[?tt]s. two [?bezames] and
four topsayles and sufficient furniture which together
with the shipp are in his Judgment worth ten thousand
guilders, the values of all particularly he cannot now specify.
And further there being as he saith noe gold sylver or Jewells
on board the sayd shipp he saith he cannot depose.
To the 7th he saith there was provisions sufficient on board the sayd
shipp att the tyme of her seizure to have carried her and Company
being ten persons to ffrance videlicet to haver de Grace. the
particulars he now remembreth not. And further saving as
aforesaid cannot depose.
To the 8th he saith he signed two Charterpartyes of severall tenors
for the sayd salt att Brouaye one for Amstedam
found on board att the tyme of her seizure
as aforesaid, and the other for haver de Grace sent over land
as aforesaid. And otherwise negatively.
To the 8. and 10th he saith he referreth himselfe to his
foregoing depositions and further cannot depose
