and hath seene and read the letters wherein the sayd William Johnson hath
certifyed the receypt of the sayd goods in Spaine; And saith that about
the latter end of January last past the producent receyved a letter of
advise that came overland by post from the sayd William Janson which this
deponent upon the receipt thereof saw opened, and the sayd bill of lading
there in inclosed, and did ymmediately read over the sayd letter and bill of
lading, And saith that the sayd Janson in the sayd letter did certify the
producent that the aforesayd barr of sylver and two baggs of moneyes
were by him the sayd Janson laden aboard the sayd shipp att Cadiz for his the
producents Accompt to be delivered att Dunkorke for the same Accompt, And
the same were the proceed of the producents goods, and that the bill of
lading in the sayd letter inclosed was one of the Originall bills of lading
for the sayd barr and baggs, and that he kept another of the same tenor
with himselfe att Cadiz, and that a third of the same tenor went in foresayd
shipp with the sylver, And saith he hath seene many bills of lading
firmed by the sayd Michael Van Lubkin and thereby knoweth his manner of
writing and firming, and having seene a duplicat or exemplar of
the sayd bill annexed to the allegation, in the Registry of this Court for that
cause and others above mentioned doth assuredly beleive that the Contents
of the sayd bill of lading were and are true and reall. And otherwise
he cannot depose.

To the fourth article of the sayd allegation and to the bill of lading therein mentioned
this deponent saith, That about the tyme arlate, and more especiallt toward
the latter end of december or beginning of January last past, Gerart
Ryper on eof the factors of the producent did att Cadiz lade aboard the sayd
shipp the Morning Starr for the producents Accompt two barrs or blockes
of sylver of the marke in the margent weighing together forty six markes

one ounce and an halfe to be transported in the sayd shipp to Dunkirke and
there to be delivered to the producent or his Agents for his Accompt, and
that the sayd Michael Van Lubkin did signe three bills of lading for the
same all of one tenor att Cadiz, and that the second schedule or bill of lading
to the sayd allegation annexed and now shewne him is one of the sayd bills
and the contents thereof true and reall, which this deponent knoweth
being Bookkeeper to the sayd Edward Peters and knoweth that he hath
before the lading of this sylver sent severall goods of great value to the
sayd Gerart Ryper into Spaine, and hath seene the letters of the sayd
Ryper wherein he hath acknowledged the Receipt of the sayd goods, and
saith that in the moneth of ffebruary last past the sayd Edward Peters
receyved tby the common Land post a letter of advise from the sayd Ryper
together with the sayd bill of lading; And saith that the sayd
Ryper did in that letter Certify the producent that he had laden the
sayd barrs of sylver aboard the sayd shipp for his the producents Accompt
to be delivered to him att dunkirke, and that the sayd sylver was the
proceed of his the producents goods, and the bill of lading therein
videlicet the sayd letter inclosed was one of the originall bills of lading
for the sayd sylver, and that another of the same tenor was with the
sayd
