To the last hee saith his foregoeing deposition is true:/

To the Crosse Interrogatories./ [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first Interrogatorie negatively:-

To the second hee saith hee hath knowne the interrate John Smeesters 7 yeares
and Gerrard Ryper by Correspondency 7. yeares or thereabouts, And otherwise
cannot depose:-/

To the fourth hee saith the said Smeesters is an Antwerper borne, and hath
lived there with his familie for 7. yeares last in the broad street, and the
said Gerard Ryper is also an Antwerper and liveth in Cadiz where hee
also hath dwelt for 7. yeares last or thereabouts, and is there married.

To the 13th hee saith the said John Smeesters of this deponents certaine
knowledge did by a letter which this deponent Copied. give order to his said
factor to send him silver in returne for his goods upon all good oportunitie
of free shipps comeing from Cadiz. And otherwise cannot depose.

To the 14:th hee saith That the said ffactor had severall goods and eggects of the
said producent in his hands with the proceed of part whereof hee beleeveth the
monies in question were provided, And particularly this deponent saith That
in the moneth of ffebruary 1652. the said producent sent from Ostend in
fflanders by Peter Klinckaert Master of a shipp of Ostend, and upon the 2 of
Aprill by John de Vos of Ostend, and upon the 27.th of July 1651. by
Dirrick Haytman a Hamburger and upon the 27:th of October 1651 by
Peter de Keysar of Ostend, and upon the 24.th of November 1651 by
Joachim Cordes a Hamburger and upon the 26. of ffebruary 1652 by the said
John de Vos of Ostend severall goods and Merchandizes videlicet Rissells
stuffs, flanders linnen and laces to his said ffactors Gerard Riper and
others, which goods hee and they received as by their letters of advises the [?XXXXX]
this deponent hath from time to time observed. And otherwise hee cannot depose.

To the 15th hee referreth to his foregoeing deposition. And otherwise negatively
