Transcription

and Commander of the shipp the Roebuck
arlate and soe Accounted And otherwise for
his parte hee doeth not beleeve the said position
to bee true in any parte thereof.

To the second pretensed position hee answereth
and beleeveth the same to bee true/

To the third pretensed position hee answe=
reth and beleeveth that within the time
arlate this respondent did hire and afree
with the arlate Bradley and Mugford and
the rest of the parties arlate to goe and serve
in the shippe the Roebucke the voyage arlate
and this respondent beleeveth that hee did
promise to pay them the respective monthly
wages mentioned in the schedule annexed
to this rendents answers and noe more
as hee beleeveth for theire respective services
in the said shippe And otherwise for his parte
hee doeth not beleeve the said position to bee
true in any parte thereof/

To the 4th pretensed position hee answereth and
beleeveth that upon the seaventh of ffebruary
1647 arlate the arlate Bradley and Mug=
ford and the rest of the parties schedlate
entred into whole pay and then the said
shipp set saile from Gravesend for Lisborne
and there safely arrived and from thence
went to the Westerne Islands to seeke a
freight with onely some small presents sent
thither to freinds and about 50 passingers
and there arrived and there had procured
a ladeing of Corne to be brought to Lisborne
againe but as this respondent and
Company were in taking in the said
freight of Corne there happened three
