To the last pretensed position they and ech
of them answereth that they doe not
beleeve the said pretensed position to bee
true in any parte Saveing these re=
spondents beleeve and each of them
beleeveth that the time arlate it did
blowe a fresh gale but was neither
stormy nor tempestuous weather
And the Companye of the said shipp
did take in her maine topsaile to
hinder the shipps makeinge too
much way it being in the night and
very darke and not for any other
reason as they beleeve./

To the first pretensed position hee anwe
reth That hee doeth not beleeve the
same to bee true in any parte thereof

To the second perused position hee answe
reth and accepteth the Contents in that
position in soe farre as they make for
him and otherwise hee doeth not
beleeve the said pretensed position to bee
