  2. Barnaby Bowtell was a relative by marriage of Thomas Blackerby, London merchant and a correspondent of Sir George Oxenden (PROB 5/3784 BOWTELL, Barnaby, esq, of Parham Hall, Parham, Suff (includes account) 1684; PROB 11/380 Cann 52-107 Will of Barnaby Bowtell of Parham, Suffolk 22 May 1685; 21st March 1662/63, Letter from Thomas Blackerby to Sir GO, London; 11th March 1666/67, Letter from Thomas Blackerby to Sir GO, Stowmarket)

  9. The date of this inventory as recorded in TNA electronic index does not match the date of probate of either Abigail Bush, widow of Abraham Bush, London merchant and subscriber to the Smirna Venture Joint Stock, nor of her daughter, also named Abigail Bush, who was unmarried at her death ( Will of Abigail Bush, Widow of London 08 March 1677 PROB 11/353 Hale 1-43; PROB 11/353 Hale 1-43 Will of Abigail Bush, Singlewoman of London 08 March 1677)
  10. Ralph Ingram, a London merchant tailor, was the probably the nephew of Sir Arthur Ingram, London merchant and son in law of Sir Thomas Chambrelan. J.R. An inventory dated April 9th 1695 seems inconsistent with a death date of 20 Jan 1695/96. Only a detailed look at the physical manuscript at TNA will resolve this. (PROB 11/430 Bond 1-42 Will of Ralph Ingram, Merchant Tailor of London 28 March 1695); 'Ingram, Ralph' in 'Iles - Izard', The Rulers of London 1660-1689: A biographical record of the Aldermen and Common Councilment of the City of London (1966), pp. 95-96, viewed 13/02/12
