Samuel Sambroke wrote to Sir George Oxenden in a letter dated March 1663. The letter was sent from London.

Samuel Sambrooke was the son of XXXX. In the 1662 hearth tax returns, he and his ?brother, Jeremy Sambrooke, were recorded in relatively small adjacent houses in the second precinct of Coleman Street, with six and eight hearths respectively. Furthermore, their residences were adjacent to a Francis Sambrooke, who was assessed with three hearths.[1]
