with her lading from Bilboa about the latter end of January 1653.<br />

and taken, and the sayd Sally men did deseyre<br />
the sayd shipp ''Unity'' and her lading being so seized for Sally<br />
and putt about thirty Moores on board her for that purpose,<br />
and tooke this deponent and the rest of the ''Unities'' Company into<br />
their owne man of warr and carryed them to Sally, where this<br />
deponent did credibly heare that the sayd shipp ''Unity'' and sayd<br />
Moores in her neere to Santa Cruz was cast away and perished<br />
And saith It is most certayne that the sayd shipp ''Unity'' and<br />
her lading were and are wholly lost to the sayd Mr Andrewes and<br />
Mr Y[?oo], and that they no reyther of them ever had any satisfaction<br />
or restitution made unto them for the losses by them susteyned in<br />
the taking and surprizall of the sayd shipp and her sayd lading<br />
or eyther of them. And further or otherwise he cannot depose.
