great losse, and dammage, and otherwise this<br />
rendent doth not beleeve the said pretensed<br />
position to bee true in any parte/
To the 8th pretensed position this rendent answereth<br />
that he accepteth the contents in this article so<br />
far forth as they make for him, and otherwise<br />
he doth not beleeve the said pretensed position<br />
to bee true in any parte, saveing this rendent<br />
beleeveth that before the saies limited by<br />
the Charterparty aforesaid were expired the said<br />
fflawes contrary to his Charterparty came away<br />
with the said shipp the ''Unity'' from the<br />
Canaries, and left this rendents goods<br />
behind him, and only brought home for<br />
the account of this rendent 52 pipes of<br />
Canary wines, and no more, which were not<br />
delivered in good order, and well condisitoned<br />
as they ought to have been, and this rendent<br />
beleeveth that the said fflawes did keepe<br />
and detaine this rendents Goods so long<br />
aboard the said shipp, after she came<br />
into the River of Thames that the<br />
same were much damnified and<br />
deteriorated thereby, and the said wines<br />
were not delivered in the river<br />
of Thames untill the 17th day of January<br />
last past, and otherwise he doth not<br />
beleeve the said pretensed position to bee<br />
true in any parte./
To the 9th pretensed position he answereth, that<br />
he doth not beleeve the said pretensed<br />
position to bee true in any parte thereof<br />
Saveing this rendent beleeveth that the<br />
time arlate, the arlate shipp the<br />
''Unity'' was of the burthen of 170 tonns<br />
and noe more./
To the 10th pretensed position this rendent<br />
answereth, and beleeveth that besides the<br />
