Transcription

To the [?fiftenth] hee saith that the Turkey company usually
pay for goods outwards a doller per cloth and homewards for Cotton
woolls 6 li per tonne, for Galls 4 li per tonne, and for silkes
7 li per tonne, only of late yeares there hath upon severall shipps
bin more paid. And otherwise hee cannot answer saving as
aforesaid./

To the 18th hee beleeveth the freighters arlate are of the
Turkey company. And otherwise hee cannot depose.

To the 21 hee conceiveth that if none of the cotton woolls
or galls be stolne or lost, there will be little or noe wast And otherwise
hee cannot depose.

To the 22 hee saith hee hath bin at Cyprus, Aleppo, and
Scanderon, and by his order Cottons and galls have bin laden
namely Cottons at Cyprus and Galls at
Scanderon are weighed before they are shipped. And hee holdeth
it reasonable that all masters or pursers of shipps should take
notice of the weight of goods before they are shipt, and that they
should make good the weight upon delivery. And otherwise
hee cannot depose.

To the 24th hee referreth himselfe to his foregeing deposition.
And otherwise hee cannot answer.

Upon the rest hee is not examined by direction of the
partie producent.
