in the possession of another master, and after sawe her at New castle
and heard shee was arrested by the authoritie of this Court at the
sute of the said [?Rice] and company, and well knew her by her [?mold] and
built to be the same shipp whereof the said harrigate had bin master
and which (as was commonly said) was taken from him on the ffrench
coast. And otherwise hee cannot depose.

Upon the rest hee is not examined by direction of Mr Whaley.

To the first and second hee answereth negatively.

To the third negatively for his part and otherwise hee cannot answer

Examined upon the Libell

Rp.

Josias Harrison servant of the producent John Cooke
aged 26 yeares or thereabouts sworne and examined.

To the first article hee saith and deposeth that hee well knoweth the arlate
Beniamin Gunson and hath soe donne for theise seaven yeaares last past, and
saith hee was the time arlate master of the shipp the Chase arlate and
had the Commannd of her as master of her, and for and as such hee
was commonly accompted and reputed, which hee knoweth having bin aboard
her and sseing him in that commannd.

To the second and third articles and the schedule therin mentioned nowe
read unto him hee saith and deposeth that the producent John Cooke
was the time arlate the true and lawfull owner and proprietor of all
and singular the fish and caske schedulated and for such commonly
accompted, namely of a hundred of drie fish, a hundred more of
fish, fower hundred Northsea Codd, foure hundred and a halfe of
drie fish more, a barrell of redd herrings, and of the emptie caske arlate.
and being soe owners thereof, hee the said John Cooke within the time
libellate and more particulalry at the severall dayes and times schedulated
did by this deponent his serbvant at the instance and request of the said
Beniamin Gunson master of the said shipp and for her use and the
provisioning of her company of mariners, deliver all and singular
the said fish and caske, which were carried aboard the said shipp then lying
