To the fourth hee saith hee believeth Captain Phillips paid all
charges of Custome and other charges for the goods seized, and otherwise
hee cannot depose.
To the 5th hee cannot otherwise answer there as afore.

To the sixth negatively for his part and otherwise hee cannot answer.
To the second and 3 hee answereth negatively for his part, and otherwise hee cannot answer.

The claime of Albert Lemmerman of}
Amsterdam for the shipp the Saint Jacob}
of Amsterdam (Arent [?] Mariuis master)}
and her tackle and furniture, and of the said}
Albert Lemmerman Abraham Amper and}
companie merchants of Amsterdam and places}
thereabouts subjects of the lords the states of}
the united Netherlands for their goods laden aboard,}
and taken away by severall persons inhabiting}
in and about Little Hampton in the County of}
Sussex. ffranklin. Budd.}
Examined upon an allegation given unto
the high Court of the Admiraltie of
England by the said ffranklin, proctor
for the said claimers hee sweareth
of this instant.

Stralesund in pommer land mariner,
late principall boatswain of the
said shipp the Saint Jacob, aged
34 yeeres or thereabouts sworne
and examined.
To the first article of the said allegation hee saith and deposeth that hee
well knoweth the producent Albert Lemmerman and hath soe donne
for these seven yeeres last or thereabouts, and saith that for all that
time arlate the said Albert hath bin and any others present [INSERT: xxx to her] the true
and sole owner and proprietor of the said shipp and of her tackle and
furniture and for such commonly accompted, which hee knoweth because hee
this deponent was hired to serve in her upon this her last voyage from
Amsterdam in the presence and at the charge of him the said Lemmerman
who fitted and set her out at his owne cost, as sole owner of her.
To the second article hee saith and deposeth that in and about the monthes
of August and September last past the said shipp the Saint Jacob being
then at Porto Porto in the dominions of the king of Portugall
(out bound for Amsterdam) was there laden with two
hundred sixtee and foure bales of sumack, five hundred and all
Rolles of tobaccoe, five and twenty chests of sugar, eighteene
Elephants teeth, five bales of linnens and foure cases of sweetmeates
and some other goods and merchandizes to be transported from the
said
