Transcription

To the first hee saith that hee was one of the common men of the said shipp
the Madea, and came first aboard her at Courarneau in Bretany in
the moneth of January last, and saith hee is a native of Saint Malo's and hath
dwellt there all his time saving when hee hath bin in voyages and dwelleth
there at this present, and otherwise negatively.

To the second hee saith hee hath knowne the said producents ever since his
this deponents said first comming aboard the said shipp, And otherwise hee
cannot answer saving as aforesaid.

To the third hee referreth himselfe to his foregoing deposition and otherwise
cannot depose.

To the fourth hee saith hee sawe the said goods in the possession of the
said producents upon their buying them as aforesaid, and sawe them lade
the same, and sawe all the said persons at Marseille, And otherwise hee cannot
answer saving as aforesaid.

To the fifth hee saith the said persons were alwaies belonging to the said
shipp from the time of this deponents said first imbarquing himselfe
therein and before, and that they carried moneys with them to Marseille
to buy the said goods, being the proceede of tobaccoes and other goods
which they had sold in Spaine. And otherwise hee cannot answer saving
as aforesaid.

To the 6th negatively.

To the 7th hee saith the said sope is of the make of Marseille and
thereabouts, and otherwise hee cannot depose.

To the 8th hee saith the said goods were to be sold by the said producents
and disposed of for their owne advantage. And otherwise hee cannot
depose.

To the 9th hee saith hee cannot answer saving as aforesaid.

To the last and the papers brought in the 19th of this present were
showed unto him hee saith hee cannot answer saving as aforesaid.

To the first hee saith that hee first imbarqued him selfe in the said
shipp the Medea at Courarneau in Bretany in January last, and that
hee is of Saint Malo's by birth, and hath dwelt there all his time, and
otherwise negatively.

To the second hee saith that hee hath knowne the said producents ever
since his said imbarqueing and not before, and otherwise saving his
foregoeing deposition hee cannot depose.

To the third hee saith that hee this deponent assisted the said producents
in showing them the houses and places in Marseille where such
commodities were to be bought and sold, and otherwise hee cannpt
answer saving as aforesaid.

To the fourth hee saith the said persons were all at Marseille
whither this deponent went with them in the said shipp, and that this
deponent sawe the said goods in the custodie of the said producents and
sawe them lade them, And otherwise hee referreth himselfe to
his foregoeing deposition.
