owne use, And further he cannot depose

To the sixth he deposeth that the arlate John Grannt the
producent hath lost (by the sayd Pindars keeping him out
of possession of the sayd shipp) the summe of two hundred
pounds, And further he cannot depose.

To the seaventh he deposeth that the producent is by reason of
his losse of XX li which he might have gott by going Master
of the said shipp, had he not bin kept out of possession of her by
the arlate Pindar, and by his losse of the eight part of the
sayd shipps lading, received damage (over and over) the summe of
x li, And further he cannot depose

To the 8th 9th and 10th he referrs himselfe to the Lawes
and registry of this Court and further cannot depose.

To the last he saith his former deposition is true./

To the Interrogatories. [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first he answereth that he is a mariner, and hath
bin Master of a vessell these 7 yeares past, and that
he favoureth both parties alike, and that he would give the
victory to that side that hath right therto if it were in his
power And otherwise he knoweth not to answere.

To the second he referreth himselfe to his former deposition
And otherwise negatively.

To the third he answereth that the maior part of the Owners
of the sayd shipp did not at all know of the said Pindars
first going aboard the said shipp And otherwise referring
himselfe to his former deposition he knoweth not to answere.

To the fourth Interrogatory he answereth that of this Rendents
certaine knowledge, the said Mathew Pindar was not putt
into the possession of the sayd shipp by the maior part of
the Owners of her And further he cannot answere./

To the fifth he answereth that the interrate John Grant did
about 7 weeks or 2 months after he was dispossessed of the
shipp interrate sell one 16th part to William hills and another
16th part to Valentine Jenkins And further he cannot
answere/

Joseph Hatch of Sandwich in Kent Mariner
borne there, aged about 45 yeares, a wittnes
produced and sworne and being examined he deposeth
as followeth.

To the first article of the sayd Libell he deposeth and saith
that he the deponent was Masters Mate of the arlate shipp
the Dolphin in her voyage from Sandwich to Newcastle and
back againe, which was in the moneths of March, Aprill and May
1654, and he saith that by reason of such his being Masters Mate
of the said shipp he well knoweth that the arlate John Grant
the producent was the Master of her, and had soe bin for
former
