To the Interrogatories. [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first hee saith hee is an English man by birth, and
hath dwelt all his time in and neare London saving when hee hath bin at
sea in voyages, And otherwise negatively.

To the second hee saith hee hath knowne the said Andrew Rand
neare thirtie yeares last, during all which space
hee hath lived in deale (where hee was borne) and at
Ratcliffe saving when hee hath bin at sea in voyages./

To the third, 4, 5th and 6th hee saith hee referreth himselfe
to his foregoeing deposition and cannot otherwise depose, for
hee did not see the lading of the said sugars.

To the 7th hee saith hee did not dee the signing of the bill of lading
in question, And otherwise hee cannot answer saving as aforesaid.

John Namxen of holy Slote
in Waterland in holland Mariner
late Stiersman of the said shipp the
Saint John Baptist, aged 32 yeares or thereabouts
sworne as in the Acts of Court, and examined
upon certaine Interrogatories, saith and deposeth
as followeth

To the first Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth that
hee was Stiersman of the said shipp the Saint John Baptist and
was in her when shee was seized by the shipps of this
Commonwealth, and had bin in her about five monethes
before such her seizure, and came first aboard her in
her service in the harbour of dover in or about the moneth
of October last was a twelvemoneth.

Top the second hee saith that hee this deponent was borne at holy
Slote in Waterland in the Province of holland aforesaid and hath
alwaies dwelt there (saving when hee hath bin in voyages at sea) and
was and is a subiect of the States of the United Netherland Provinces
in whose dominion hee was borne, and saith that (come the eighth
of ffebruary next) hee hath bin tenn yeares maried, and hath kept
his wife and house in holy Slote aforesaid ever since his said mariage
and there hee hath three children living, which hee hath had by his
said wife.

To the third hee saith that hee hath not knowne the said John Claeson
master of the said shipp the Saint John Baptist longer than from
the tine he hired and shipped this deponent to goe stiersman
