John Wyer of the parish of Saint Mary Magdalen Bermondsey in the County
of Surrey Shipwright aged 21 yeares or thereabouts sworne as
aforesaid saith as followeth.

That upon wednesday the 18th day of July last past about tenn of the clock
in the fore noone of the same day this deponent and John Groome, henry
Berry and Joseph Graves Shipwrights were put aboard and in quiet
and peaceable possession of the shipp the Greyhound (lying against Redriff Staires) by Mr William
Castle and by him ordered to keepe the possession thereof to his use,
at and immediately before which time of such their comming aboard hee saith there was
noe person aboard her, but they tooke the quiet and peaceable possession
of her to the use aforesaid, and saith they came aboard her in peaceable
and quiet manner without any weapons, or using any force, for
theire (sic) was noe occasion of any, there being noe body aboard to oppose
them if they had intended violence which they did not. And about
two howers after the foresaid William Riall and John Moore came
alsoe aboard her, and alsoe tooke
possession to the use aforesaid, and that without any violence or
interruption this deponent and the said John Groome, henry Barry
and John Graves being then aboard her, and saith this deponent
continued in the said possession tthree dayes, and then went
ashore. leaving the said William Ryall and John Moore in the
quite possession of jer.

Upon the articulate allegation given in and admitted on Alderman Micoes
behalfe on the 10th of January 1654.

William Cockcroft of the parish of Saint Stephens
Walbrook London servant to the producent
with whom he hath lived allmost eight yeares
a wittnes produced and sworne and being examined
he deposeth as followeth./

To the first and second article of the said allegation he
deposeth and saith That he the deponent being the producent
Alderman Micoe his servant hath seene the bill of lading
subscribed by the arlate ffudge for the five thousand peices
of Eight arlate laden aboard the shipp the Cesar for
the said Alderman Mico's account, and that by Letters from
the said Aldermans Agents this deponent hath received
advise that the said ffudge did and doth detayne some of the
said peiceas of Eight, but how many he saith he knoweth not
And further to the said articles he cannot depose.

To the third and fourth articles he deposeth and saith that
he this deponent hath seene the bill of Lading subscribed by
the arlate ffudge for the Lading of the quantity of tenne
baggs or sacks of Goats wooll for the account of the
producent by his Agents at Smirna, to be transported thence
to
