To the 10th hee saith, That the arlate Captaine Bodiloe with the
Convoy under his Command in the yeare 1652 came to Cyprus for the
safe convoying of English shipps and goods from Turkey and the parts in the
streights, but by whose procurement the said Convoy was so employed hee
saith hee knoweth not. And further cannot depose/:

To the Crosse Interrogatories:-/ [CENTRE HEADING

To the first hee saith, That hee this rendent never had any part
share in the shipp Thomas Bonadventure interrate:/

To the second hee saith hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition taken
in this Cause, wherein hee hath given all the satisfaction hee cann to the
contents of this Interrogatorie; sating the interrate Roger ffowke as English
Consull resident at Cyprus, was and iis a person, (so farr as this deponent
knoweth) who acteth there for severall English Merchants besides
the said ffrederick Chewne and Companie./

To the 3. hee saith hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition:-

To the 4th hee sait, That there were no goods received aboard the said
shipp at Cyprus after the bills of lading were signed for the Cargo
there received, sayeing the said bills of ladeing were dated 5. or 6. daies
as hee remembreth before the time that they were actually firmed

To the 5th hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition taken in this Cause
wherein hee hath declared so much as hee knoweth concerning the

Examined upon an Allegation made in the Acts
of Court the 19th of ffebruary .1654. and upon the
schedule therein mentioned/:-

William Smith of Wapping in the parish of
Stepney Mariner late One of the Quartermasters of the said
shipp Constant aged 51 yeares or thereabouts a Wittnes
sworne and examined saith and deposeth as followeth videlicet

That hee this deponent being as aforesaid one of the Quartermasters of
the said shipp in severall Voiages wherein shee was imployed by the said
Captaine Isaac Phillips as a private man of warr against the shipps and
goods belonging to the enemies of this Commonwealth well knoweth
That upon or about the fourth day of Aprill 1651. last past the
said shipp the Constant then being at Sea under the Command of
Captaine William hurley and Companie consisting of this deponent
and the other Officers and mariners expressed in the said schedule, did meet
with surprize and take at Sea within the Jurisdiction of this Court,
the shipp the Concord laden with 38. Chests of Bahia sugars, [?twenty GUTTER]
chests of Muscavadoe sugars sewerall baggs of shoomack and some pipes
