25. leagues from the North Cape by tempestuous weather cast away
and perished in the Seas, this examinate being then and there
present in the Condition aforesaid And further hee cannot depose

the marke of

The same day Examined upon the said Interrogatories:- [CENTRE HEADING]

Henry Cox of the parrish of Saint Giles Cripplegate
London Tallow-Chandler aged 38. yeares or thereabouts
a Wittnes sworne and examined; saith as followeth videlicet

To the first Interrogatorie hee saith, That hee well knoweth the interrate
John Parker who was and is a Merchant of London, and hath so knowne
him for about a yeare and a half last past, And saith, That the said
John Parker in the moneths of June July August and September last
past was the true and lawfull Owner and Proprietor of one fourth part
of the ship the hannah interrate, and of her Tackle apparel and
furniture, and for such the said John Parker was then and some moneths
before generally accompted reputed and taken, The premises this deponent
knoweth, for that hee this examinate, and one Mr William Greene Citizen
and Salter of London being about nine moneths since part Owners of the
said ship then sold and transported one fourth part thereof unto the said John Parker, And
saith That the said 4th part of the said ship togeather with her
furniture and fitting to sea upon the Voyage wherein shee was lost, did
cost the said John Parker, and were really worth the summe of three
hundred and fiftie pounds sterling or thereabouts, Which this examinate
well knoweth being also Owner of one 4th part of the said ship the
hannah and of her tackle and furniture at the time aforesaid and till
the said ship was lost and perished in the Seas. And further cannot depose.

To the 2d hee saith, That hee this examinate was not in the Voyage in
question, and therefore cannot depose any thing as to the interest of the
interrate Mr John Parker in the lading interrate, nor otherwise can
hee depose, saveing hee finds by sad experience that the said ship and
lading were in their Course from Portugall for London cast away
perished and utterly lost to the Owners thereof, and beleeveth the interrate
John Parker suffered and sustained a very great and considerable
losse by and in the loosing and perishing of the said shipps Cargo
And further cannot depose:-/
