that the sayd Lorenzo de Veles Laded twenty of the sayd baggs to and for
the proper Accompt of him the sayd Lorenzo, and four of the sayd baggs
and for the Accompt of the arlate Pedr amd Andrea Hannekaerte, all of [?them]
to be transported to Oostend and there to be delivered to the sayd Lorenzo de [?Veles]
for the respective Accompt aforesayd. And otherwise he cannot depose [?saving]
that before and att the tyme of the lading of the sayd baggs the sayd Lorezo
did signify and declare the [?effect] of [?what] this deponent hath now sett [?forth]
To the third he saith and deposeth that after the lading of the said baggs in [?manner]
as aforsayd. videlicet in the beginning of October 1652. the arlate Christian
Cloppenbergh Master of the sayd shipp the Salvadore in the sight of [?this]
deponent and in the [?presence] of the sayd Roderigo Alonzo and Pasquall [?Andrada]
signed three bills of Lading all of one tenor for the sayd baggs. and [?]
same so signed delivered to the sayd Christian Cloppenbergh; [?And]
he further saith that the Bill of Lading remaining in the [?Registry]
this [?] and now showed him att the tyme of his Examination was and [?is]
one of the aforsayd three bills of lading signed by the sayd Cloppenbergh
as aforesayd; And beleiveth that the same being aboard the Salvador [?in]
the Custody of her sayd Master came into the possession of the Takers of [?the]
sayd shipp and was by them sent upp to this Court. And further he cannot
depose saving that the sayd bill now showed him is signed with the [?proper]
handwriting of the sayd Christian Cloppenbergh.
To the fourth he saith that the sayd shipp the Salvador in October last past [?then]
having on board her the sayd twenty four baggs of money sett sayle from [?the]
Bay of Cadize towards Oostend sayling in Companie with the shipp [?the]
Sampson in which this deponent was a passenger, and in her Course [?towards]
Oostend was in the Downes taken and surprized by one of the shipps [?of]
warr of the Commonwealth by meanes whereof the sayd baggs of money
[?unembezeled] as this deponent beleiveth came to the hands and possession of [?the]
takers thereof. And saith that after such seizure the sayd shipp and
lading was brought into the River of Thames as is arlate. And otherwise
he cannot depose.
To the fifth he saith that the sayd shipp the Salvador was bound for [?]
and thither if she had not bene seized as aforesayd would in all probability
arrived safely. And there in case of such Arrivall the sayd twenty four
baggs of money would have bene delivered to the sayd Lorenzo de [?Veles]
for the Accompts before by this deponent sett forth. And otherwise he [?cannot]
depose.
To the sixth he saith that the sayd Lorenzo de Veles is by birth a [?DuinkeX]
and hath of this deponents knowledge for eight or nyne years now past [?lived]
att Cadize, and hath betwixt Spaine and the Indies traded as a [?merchant]
as is arlate. And the arlate Pedro Hannekaert and allso Andrea [?]
as this deponent hath credibibly heard and beleiveth were borne in fflanders
and are now Inhabitants of Antwerpe, where they have lived as this [?]
hath heard ten yeares last. And the sayd Lorenzo Pedro and Andrea
and are commonly accounted to be subiects of the King of Spaine, and [?Inh]
of the respective places before mentioned. And otherwise he cannot depose.

To the second he asith that he hath knowne the sayd Lorenzo de Veles for [?some]
eight or nyne yeares now past. but the sayd Pedro Hannekaert this Rendent [?doeth]
not. And saith that he saw and was in Company with the sayd Lorenzo att Cadiz
and aboard the Salvador when he laden the money now Claymed. And he
