To the 24.th he saith he cannot depose.
To the 25th he saith he cannot depose.
To the 26. he cannot depose otherwise than negatively.
To the 27th he saith he cannot depose otherwise than negatively
To the 28 he saith that he this Rendent was desired to cause a
Clayme to be putt om this Court for the sayd sylver by the sayd Paulus
Cobrisse for himselfe. and not by or for any other person. and further
otherwise than negatively cannot depose.
To the 29.th he referreth himselfe to his foregoeing depositions and
otherwise cannot depose.
To the Crosse Interrogatories in the second place[CENTRE HEADING]
To the .1. and 2. he saith It is prohinited to transport sylver or moneyes
out of Spaine without License obteyned for the same, And somuch
he beleiveth such as use the Portes of Spaine well knowe. And saith
that unlicensed sylver if seized in the ports of Spaine
is forfeited to the King of Spaine, But if it arrive in fflanders
or elsewhere out of the power of the Spanish Lawes It is wholly
out of danger and a free merchandize And somuch he
saith is generally knowne and taken notice of in fflanders and
other places. And otherwise he cannot depose.

Examined upon an allegation on the behalfe
of the sayd Simon ffonseca Pyna.

Lorenzo de Veles of dunkirke in fflanders
merchant aged 38. yeares or thereabouts
a witnes sworne and examined deposeth
and saith as followeth. videlicet.
To the first Article of the sayd allegation This deponent saith, That in the
monethes of August, September October November december January
ffebruary and March last past 1652. the arlate Symon da ffonseca
Pyna merchant of Madrid was and att this present is and ought to bee
the true and lawfull Owner and Proprietor of the arlate one hundred and
nine markes and two ounces or thereabouts; the premisses this deponent
knoweth to be true for that he this deponent in the sayd moneth of August
saw the sayd barr of silver in the quiet possession of the sayd producents Agent
and ffactor att Cadiz to witt William Cornelison an intimate freind and
acquaintance of this deponent, who then and there told this deponent that
the same was the sylver of the sayd producent and that hee intended
to send and consigne the same to Ostend for the producents use and
Act. And otherwise cannot depose saving his subsequent depositions
To the second Article of the sayd allegation This deponent saith that in the sayd moneth
of August 1652, he this deponent being present and aboard saw the foresayd
William Cornelison the producents ffactor lade and put on board the sayd
shipp the Sampson att Cadiz the sayd one barr of sylver marked as aforesayd to be
transported from thence to Ostend for the proper use and [?sole] Accompt
of the sayd Symon da ffonseca Pyna and there to be delivered to the [?XXX]
