Henry Pelerin of Oleron or Olon in ffrance sailer, aged
18 yeares or thereabouts, sworne and examined saith as followeth
videlicet.

To the first, second and third Interrogatories hee saith and deposeth that hee
this deponent hath well knowne the shipp the Saint John Interrogated for theise eight
yeares or thereabouts and hath served in her as a sailer for theise three yeares last
and saith shee belongeth to the port of Olon or Oleron aforesaid, whennce depart[?ing]
in March last for Newfound land on a fishing voyage, and ariving there shee
laded with Codd fish, and being soe laden shee was in her course to retourne
for Oleron aforesaid there to discharge her said lading to and for accompt
of her owners all ffrench dwelling in Olon aforesaid, and subiects of the
kinge of ffrance, videlicet Margaret Porotean, and his precontest the master
and others, and saith that being soe in her4 course for Oleron shee was
about five weekes since met with and taken on the high and open seas
by Captaine Wilkinson in the shipp the Allicant merchant, at which time
her said lading of Codfish was aboard her, and would have bin carried to
Olon and dischardged as aforesaid in case shee had not bin soe taken, And
otherwise hee cannot answer, or depose, savin one third part of the said
lading belonged to the shipps company all ffrench and subiects as aforesaid,
and saving hee was aboard and sawe the premisses soe donne.

The claime of henry Aggis and company}
for the ship the Golden Waggon (Peter}
Anis master)}

Examined upon an allegation given in on the
behalfe of the said Aggis and company.

Rp. j.

Andrew Wyse of Wapping in the County
of Middlesex Mariner, aged 37 yeares or thereabouts
sworne and examined.

To the first and second articles of the said allegation hee saith and deposeth
that hee hath well knowne the shipp the Golden Wagon arlate for
theise three yeares last past, and the producents arlate for a longer
time, and saith that they the said producents hendrick Aggis
Alti{?a] Cornelis and company have bin for all the said time and
are the true and lawfull owners and proprietors of the said shipp
and of her tackle apparall and furniture and for such commonly
accompted and reputed, which hee knoweth because hee this deponen
for foure severall voyages which shee hath made to this port
hath as a broker donne the busines concerning her and her said
owners, and hath severall times remitted them moneys home by
bills of Exchange due unto them as owners for her freight and
that by the said masters order. And further saith that the said
producents were and are Inhabitants of Amsterdam and other places
in the dominions of the States of the Unitred Netherland Provinces
and soe commonly accompted, and that the said shipp was in
winter last taken by a Scilly man of warr and afterwards retaken by
some of the Parliaments shipps and is nowe remayning in the River
of Thames where hee sawe her this morning at Saint saviours dock where
shee lieth, and for her said taking by the Scilly men hee was informed by
some of her company that came afterwards hither, whence this deponent
got them passage for their owne countrey, one of them being the Stiersman.
