7 To the 7th they answere that they referre
themselves to the Lawe and beleeVe if there
be any such it was observed in this Case

8 To the 8th they answere that they believe the
Master of the said shipp was a dunkerker and in amity
with this Comnwealth and all the Company thereof
for ought these rendents did then knowe were subiects of such Princes and States as
were and are in amitie with this Comonwealth, soe that
they knowe the said ship waas not comitted to
the charge or trust of any of that nation against
whome henerall reprizalls are grannted

9 To the last they answere that savinge their
former answeres which they believe to be
true they doe not believe the same to be true
in any parte

John Case late Master of the shipp
Stambolenene made to the positions
or a pretensed Libell given against him
on the behalfe of Robert Abdye
as followeth.

1. 2. 3. To the furst second and third and schedule therein
mentioned he answereth and believeth that within the
time in the Libell mentioned hee the said John
Case as Master and ComNader of the said Vessell the
Stamboleene was with the same at Smirna
And at or about the latter end of the moneth of
July 1653 John Penwarren as Agent or factor
