Transcription

To the second pretensed position they an
swer and beleeve and either of them
answereth and beleeveth that in a
fortnighte or thereabout after the
said shipp arrived at the Barbadoes
the Agents or factors of the said
Batson and Steele with the consent
of the said Atkinson did order the said
shippe and Company againe for
Guiney upon a second voyadge contrary
to theire first agreement made in En=
gland the which voyadge the most
parte of the shipps Company did refuse
to goe And that those which did proceede
in the second voyadge were necessitated
to goe in the second voyadge in regard
they were poore men and could not
come home for England nor goe in any
other voyadge without theire wages for
the foresaid voyadge to buy them Clothes
and other necessaries And that those
which did leave and departe the said
shipp and second voyadge did leave the said shipp before the
said Atkinson did cleere these Rendents
of the said shippe And otherwise
they doe not beleeve the said position
to bee true in any parte thereof

To the third pretensed position they answer
that they accept the Contents of this
position as farr forth as it maketh
for them and they beleeve and either
