The personall answers of Thomas
Tasse made to the positions
of an Allgeation given in against
him on the behalfe of the
Keepers of the Liberty of Eng
land by authority of Par
liament doe followe.

To the first and second pretended positions hee
answereth that hee referreth himselfe
to his former deposition made on the
behalfe of the owners of the Golden Eagle
to the 16 and 17 Interrogatories which hee
beleeveth to bee true and otherwise for
his parte he doth not beleeve the said
positions or either of them to bee true
in any parte thereof.

To the third pretended position he
answereth and beleeveth that at
such time as the said Peacocke seized
the shippe the Golden Eagle he demannded
of this rendent what moneyes and bills of
ladinge hee had on bord the said shippe
and thereuppon this rendent knoweing the
danger in Spaine of transporting of
moneyes which is noe lesse then death
and the said Peacocke threatnninge to
discover the same to the officers there this
respondent did thereupon and for noe
other cause denye that hee had either
money or bills of ladeinge on board the
said shippe And otherwise for his parte
he doth not beleeve the said position to
bee true in any parte thereof.
