To the rest of the articles of the said allegation hee is not Examined by
direction of the [?XXXX] producent./

To the Interrogatories./ [CENTRE HEADING]

To the Interrogatories hee saith that hee was none of the shipps company
arlate, the time arlate, and that hee is not to have or expecteth any thinge fpr
his deposition, and was brought hither to bee a witnes at the entreaty
of the gentleman that brought him now to bee examined but his name
hee knoweth not. and further or otherwise hee cannot depose./

Gilbert Waters of Yarmouth in the County of
Norfolke maryner aged 24 yeares or thereabouts
a witnes sworne and Examined saith and deposeth
as followeth videlicet

To the 7th article of the said allegation hee saith and deposeth that
hee hath knowne the arlate david Cant these 12 yeares
last past dureing which time the said Cant hath sailed with
this deponents father and this deponents brother, and
this deponent who are and were all masters of vessells for divers yeares sometimes takeing a charge
as Pilott, and is in this deponents iudgment and knowledge a
very able and sufficient pilot between yarmouth and the
parts adiacent for this Port of London, and is this
deponents mate aboard the Elizabeth of Yarmouth of which this
deponent is now aster and for a very sufficient Pilot the said
Cant att yarmouth and att other places where hee is knowne
is commonly accompted and reputed and further cannot depose./

To the rest of the articles of the sayd allegation hee is not
Examined by the direction of the party producent./

To the Interrogatoryes. [CENTRE HEADING]

To the Interrogatoryes hee saith that the gentleman that brought him hither
to bee Examined was hee that entreated him to come to testifye his
knowledge in this cause but his name hee knoweth not. and that hee is
not promised any thinge for his deposition, nor expecteth anything
for his paines and to the rest of the Interrogatory hee cannot answer being none
of the shipps company interrogate./.

doctor Godolphin./
