To the 6th hee saith That the said Edward Peters at this present is an
Inhabitant at Antwerp where he hath lived ever since the yeare 1648
last past, And is a Subject of the King of Spaine, and for such well
knowne and commonly reputed, which hee knoweth for the reasons predeposed
And saith That the said shipps in their Course torwards Ostend (at
this deponent by letters of advise to that purpose well knoweth)were surprized and taken by souie[?] of the
shipps of this Commonwealthe the silver predeposed then being aboard them and
still detained to the very great prejudice of the said producent And further
hee cannot depose
To the last hee saith his foregoing deposition were and are true
To the Crosse Interrogatories
To the first Interrogaterie negatively
To the second hee saith hee hath knowne the interrate Edward Peters for about 6
years last past and the interrate John la motte foure yeares last in person, and
the interrate William Jansen 6 years by Correspondency between him and the
producent. And otherwise cannot depose:-
