Aged 33 yeares or thereabouts sworne before<br />
the right worth<br />
and of the Judge of the high Court of the<br />
Admiralty of England saith and Deposeth by<br />
vertui of his Oath
That whereas this Deponent on/of the thirtieth day of July 1656: made<br />
Deponent in this court in answir to some i/j??? touching the sale of the ship the st John whereof<br />
Cornelius Tamiffen? was then master? with/which said deponent so? XoXeth<br />
word for word, To the first second third and fouth Interrogatories<br />
hee saith and deposeth that the Interrogate Cornelius Tanifon?–<br />
master of the ship the saint John of London of the Burthen of<br />
seaventy Tonns or thereabouts did by Act or bill of sale in –<br />
writing bearing date the fifth day of June now last past made<br />
and past at this Deponents shop or offird behinde? the Exchange? London sett<br />
and Transport unto the said John BrXXiXck of London merchant the said ship<br />
the Saint John with? her tackle Apparrell and furniture for and in…<br />
lieu? of the summe of three hundred fifty and five pounds Xxert?<br />
which this Deponent sawe paid in peXXiis? XXXeral/tis by the said<br />
master BrXXiXck to the said Cornelius Thomasand? this Deponent now<br />
leaveth a bill of sale which hee saith is the very same bill of sale<br />
and Transport soe made and passed as aforesaid which hee knoweth<br />
because hee this Deponent was present there at and sawe the said –<br />
Cornelius Tanafon? signe seale and for his Act and Deed Deliver<br />
the same, as nowe appeareth which done this Deponent and John miXes/t<br />
and Jacob verbeke? set their name thereto as witnesses as now<br />
alsoe appeareth And saith that ever since the said sale and<br />
Transport the said master John BrXXiXck hath bin and is Comonly<br />
Acompted the true and lawful owner and propietor of the <br />
said ship, and of her tackle apparrell and furniture:/:
now this Deponent further saith and deposeth<br />
that according as hee is redilly? Informed one John XXXX<br />
is now master of the above mentioned ship the st John, in the<br />
place of the said Cornelius Tannifen? and this hee soe deposeth<br />
at the request of the said master John BrXXiXck to the –<br />
end it may rially appeare who is the now master of the said ship
