To the 4.th hee saith that the ''Golden Cocks'' lading which was taken<br />
in her consisted in seaven lasts and seaven barrells of<br />
Herrings 42 Caskes of butter weighing 6500: pound weight<br />
and upwards and ffive hogsheads of Tallowe And saith that<br />
the Reason why the said Ships had Dutch Papers onboard<br />
them, was to prevent their being seized by Spanish men<br />
of warr, and to the rest hee referreth himselfe to his<br />
foregoeing deposition./,
To the 5.th hee saith that neither the said hart ir Thompson<br />
had any interest in the said ships or in the said Lading<br />
but saith that It is Probable that they might have a barrell<br />
of herrings or butter, onboard upon their private account<br />
and otherwise cannot answer saving as aforesaid./.
To the 6.th hee saith that the said goods taken<br />
into the ''hope'', at Rotterdam, and the Tarr and Dealestaken in at Berghen, were carried to Scotland in the said<br />
ship, upon the Account of the foresaid Owners of the<br />
said Ship, and otehrwise cannot depose./
To the last hee saith hee was not in either of the said<br />
ships when they were taken by the said Browne<br />
and therefore cannot depose hereto./:
