of the sayd Thomas Grove toward the sayd W … of the sayd Thomas Grove toward the sayd Woods who was his Supra=<br />
cargoe and therefore were not willing nor would or did adventure<br />
to send their goods in the sayd shipp but shipped them aboard other shipps<br />
And further hee cannot depose/
To the 33th and 34th articles saving his foregoeing deposition hee saith hee cannot of certayne knowledge depose<br />
but hath heard and beleeveth that the shipp ''Peace'' being returned homewards<br />
to Plymouth the voyage in question the arlate Thomas Grove did there refuse to deliver goods<br />
which hee had aboard and was there to be delivered to severall persons upon<br />
pretence that there was primage and Average due to him from them for the sayd<br />
goods and soe detyned them aboard and refused to deliver them untill (as this deponent<br />
hath heard and beleeveth) hee was arrested for them, by which obstinate<br />
carriage of him the sayd Grove the sayd shipp remayned at Plymouth<br />
longer than otherwise shee needed to have done and lost the opportunity of a fayre winde and the winde coming<br />
contrary the sayd shipp was forced by that meanes to staye there longer<br />
than shee needed to have done but how much longer hee cannot<br />
declare And further hee cannot depose./
To the 35th article hee saith that after the arrivall of the shipp ''Peace''<br />
at Nevis there being complait made by the arlate Luke Woods<br />
against the arlate Thomas Grove of the ill behaviour of the sayd<br />
Grove in the voyage in question, before the Cheife Officers at Nevis<br />
the sayd Grove was convened before them and this deponent, (and as he<br />
beleeveth others) were produced and examined before the sayd Officers upon<br />
Interrogatories touching the evell behaviour of the sayd Grove in the<br />
voyage in question both at Newfound land and at Nevis And further<br />
saving his foregoeing deposition hee cannot answere/
To the 36th and 37th articles hee saith hee referreth him selfe to the Registry<br />
of this Court and to the Lawe and to his foregoeing deposition and further<br />
hee cannot depose/
To the 38th hee saith saving his foregoeing deposition hee<br />
cannot depose./
To the 39th hee saith hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition<br />
and to the lawe and further cannot depose/
To the 40th hee saith the arlate Thomas Grove is an inhabitant<br />
of the parish of Stepney and a subiect of this Commonwealth And as<br />
hee beleeveth subiect to the Jurisdiction of this Court and further<br />
hee cannot depose./
To the last hee saith his foregoeing deposition is true/
