bring home the interrogated Kennett and Mr Ellesons Boy<br />
out of charity and out of a consideration that<br />
hee did not knowe how soone it might bee his case<br />
to bee in that condition that they then were in,<br />
And saith that noe body agreed with him for<br />
any consideration or som of money for the same<br />
And further hee cannot depose
To the 10th hee saith that hee tooke in 5. of the<br />
''Pearrys'' Companie abord his shippe to come for England<br />
not withstanding that his vessell was but small and<br />
his Companie full. And saith that hee never<br />
denyed any of them Passage for which hee was<br />
profferred [?5. ''s''.] per weeke or that they would lay in their owne<br />
provisions. And otherwise hee answereth negatively
To the 21th hee answereth negatively for his part.
To the 22th hee saith and deposeth that hee doeth<br />
verily beleeve that neither Captaine Ellison nor John Kennet<br />
were ever in Armes or hostility against the Parliament<br />
or that they are inclined any wayes against them<br />
but that both of them would be ready to assist<br />
the Parliament to theire uttmost abilityes against theire<br />
enemies. And saith that hee beleeveth they have<br />
both taken the late Engagement or att least will take<br />
it with all willingnesse, And otherwise hee saith<br />

To the last Interrogatorie hee saith that hee did see<br />
some of the ffrench Caviliers ashore at Tallooone<br />
that were abord the ''Alexandria'' in the tyme of the fight<br />
interrate And saith hee hath heard some Englishe Merchants<br />
there say that they had some discourse of the<br />
said fight with some of the officers of the said ffrench<br />
man of warre and that the said officers gave a very<br />
high Commendation of the valliant Behaviour of<br />
the said Captaine Ellison in the said fight And saith<br />
that thereupon and allsoe upon the Report of diverse<br />
of the said shipps Companie hee this deponent and<br />
