To the 7th hee saith that William Avery was wounded<br />
in the said fight, And that hee hath heard that<br />
John Kennett was sicke att and before the tyme<br />
of the fight interrogated And otherwise hee answereth<br />
negatively saying that to his certaine knowledge<br />
some of the said ''Pearryes'' company might have<br />
come home for England in this deponents shippe but<br />
they refused to doe the same, but did of<br />
theire owne accord enter themselves into the service<br />
of the French.
To the 8th hee saith hee knoweth the interrogated<br />
Richard North and saith hee is Captaine Ellesons<br />
Boy and is about 16. or 17. yeares of age as hee hath<br />
bin credibly informed. And saith hee hath<br />
heard the said youth speake often times<br />
concerning the said fight and that hee did allwaies<br />
commend his masters Vallour therein and discommend<br />
the Cowardice of the company of the said ship the<br />
''Pearry''. And saith hee doeth beleeve the Boy is not<br />
soe much in feare of his master but that hee will<br />
speake the truth, and therein hee beleeves for his<br />
part hee ought to be credited And<br />
otherwise hee cannot depose.
To the 9th hee saith hee hath heard Captaine Ellesons<br />
vallour much applauded for the fight against the Turkes interrogated<br />
And otherwise hee cannot depose
