Ad 5 nescit deponere salvis predeportis re … Ad 5 nescit deponere salvis predeportis refereado se ad schedulas aarlatus.
Ad 6 deponit that the arlate Robert ffoote and Benjamin Child advised this<br />
deponents said Master that they had laded on board the said ship at Legorne (she touching<br />
there in her passage for London) two bailes of kidskins for their owne<br />
account marked and numbred as arlate. And that the said Welwyn had subscribed<br />
a note as is arlate And saith the fifth schedule is subscribed by the said Welwyn<br />
as is arlate, this deponent having severall times seene him write his name.<br />
and thereby being acquainted with manner and character in writing<br />

Ad 7 deponit that the arlate Robert ffoote sent a Copy of a Certificate obtained from<br />
the arlate [?Sir]John ffinch6 his Majestys resident at fflorence to this deponents<br />
said master. Which Copy he alsoe sawe Et alr nescit proparte sua saving he beleeveth<br />
that the said Currans really belong to the arlate Daniel Pourteene and Edward Watts<br />

Ad 9 deponit that when the said shipp was seized or stoppd in ffalmouth by the parties arlate<br />
Oyles were then worth and about London would have bin sold for 60: ''li'' sterling and upwards<br />
per tonne, and now they will yeild but abput 45: ''li'' per tonne. And saith that hee hath<br />
seene a note subscribed by one Tremaine for the receipt of twenty one pound<br />
from his precontest Mr Walwyn Et alr nescit saving the said producents<br />
have suffered losse and dfammage in the losse of their marketts and demurrage of their<br />
shipp and leakeage of oiles, and dammage of goods, in this deponents Judgment<br />
and as hee verily beleeveth, to the vallue of about 2000 ''li'' sterling.
Ad 10th deponit that the lading of oyles belonging to this deponents Master and partners were assured upon<br />
at Genoa to come from Gallipoli for London for the account aforesaid by ffrancis Gardiner<br />
and Thomas Kirke and the Charge thereof was drawne upon this deponents master<br />
who gace credit in his bookes to his said factor who procured the same to bee assured, which<br />
hee knoweth for the reasons aforesaid.
Ad ult dicit predepoita per eum esse vera./

Ad primum rendet that hee is not related to Alderman ffoote otherwise than by being his<br />
apprentice nor to any of the parties producent and was borne at Harradon<br />
in Northtonshire as he supposeth it to bee.
Ad negative saying that hee was not one of the Company of the shipp in question
Ad 3 et 4 nescit. not knoweing either of the parties Interrogate

Ad 6 rendet that the second schedule annexed was sent overland to this deponents master<br />
from Venice by the foresaid Ravenscroft this deponent seing the receipt of it. Et alr nescit.

Ad 10 deponit that when the said ship was sent to Gallipoli the said Ravenscroft acquianted<br />
this deponents Master with his designe in lading the said ship with oyles, and desired to<br />
know of him whether hee would accept of any share in the said oiles who<br />
accepted of one halfe of the said oiles for himselfe and sonne and to that purpose wrote to him. Et alr<br />
nescit.
Ad 11 12 et 13 nescit et pro parte sua negative. And saith he the said Walwyn is at present a lodger<br />
at this deponents own house.
Ad 14 et 15 nescit.
Ad 16 rendet that the master of the said shipp wrote or caused to bee writ a letter to this deponents master [?XXXX]<br />
whether hee should come up to London in regard severall enemyes pickaroones were on these coasts as he [?XXXX]<br />
and this deponents Maser with the consent of the foresaid Mr Pourteene and Mr Watts ordered him to come for<br />
London. but hee came before such order came to his hands as hee hath bin informed. Et alr nescit.
