Transcription aboard the said ship some Long Pepper the aboard the said ship some Long Pepper the quantity (as hee likewise confessed unto him this deponent<br /> of about forty or fifty Parcells, and in the [?Streights GUTTER]<br /> of Bantam (alsoe in the said ships Passage To the Coast<br /> of Cormandell) about One hundred jarrs of Greene Ginger<br /> All which aforementioned goods hee saith were carried in the said<br /> ship to the Coast of Cormandell, but not upon the Account of<br /> the foresaid Governour and Company of English Merchants<br /> trading to East India, but upon the Account of the said Comander<br /> or other persons, not of the said Company, And the said<br /> Connis confessed to this deponent that hee sold the sayd Brimstone<br /> and Tutenagge on the Coast of Cormandell, or the greatest part , And the rest of the<br /> said Goods the said Connis brought in the said ship<br /> ''marygold'' to this Port of London and further cannot depose<br /> saving as followeth: Ad 8n. dicit that 400 ld not usually at Maccasser makes a Bahare<br /> of Tortoise shells., but of all other Goods 600 lb usually goes<br /> to a Bahare, and every parcell of any goods Containeth<br /> in weight 132 lb. And saith that for transportation of a<br /> Passenger from the Coast of Cormandell to Maccasser aforesaid<br /> is usuall tenn Ryalls. and after that rate this deponent hath<br /> knowne persons par for their Passage from the said Coast<br /> to Maccassar:/: Ad 9u. dicit that he this deponent came into England<br /> from the said Coast of Cormandell in the said ship the<br /> ''Marygold'' the voyage in question, and saith that upon the Rammaging the said ship<br /> in her passage, this deponent sawe about twelve or fourteene<br /> fardles each which hee conceiveth might containe the quantity of about thirty or<br /> forty peeces of Salampres, which said ffarles hee saith<br /> were not marked with the said Companyes marke, and<br /> therefore hee beleeveth they were belonging to the said<br /> Connis, And at the same time hee alsoe sawe some<br /> other goods which were not marked with the said Companyes<br /> marke which hee beleeveth were Part of the said goods<br /> mentioned in his deposition to the seaventh article<br /> which the said Connis brought to this Port, And<br /> the said Connis of this deponents knowledge since the<br /> said ships arrivall here, disposed of and sold about<br /> three hundred peeces of Callicoes, which hee<br /> brought over in the said ship the said voyage And further hee cannot<br /> depose:/. Ad 10.n dicit that hee cannot estimate how much Dammage the said Governour<br /> and Company have sustained by reason of the Premisses Ad 11m. dicit that hee knoweth not howe much the ffreight of<br /> the foresaid Passengers and goods and Merchandizes amounted<br /> unto saving this deponents is to pay the said Connis for his passage<br /> from Maccassar to the Coast of Cormondell and thence to England<br /> the summe of forescore pounds namely twenty pounds<br /> for the ships Provisions and sixty pounds for the use of the<br /> Cabbin./.
