To the last hee saith his foregoeing depos … To the last hee saith his foregoeing deposition is true.
To the Interrogatories/. [CENTRE HEADING]
To the first hee saith the master of the ''Mary Rose'' requested<br />
this Deponent to come and Testifly herein, and he was<br />
a foremast man of the ''Mary Rose'' and hath received<br />
all his wages for the said voyage and saith the ''John''<br />
came foule of the ''Mary Rose'' as aforesaid about halfe<br />
an houre after the ''Mary Rose'' weighed Anchor and further<br />
cannot answer saving as aforesaid
To the 2nd hee saith it was about high water when<br />
the ''John'' came foule of the ''Mary Rose'', and saith the<br />
''Mary Rose'' her Anchor catched the Lanyard of the maine<br />
shrouds of the ''John'', which was Cut as aforesaid, but the Cutting<br />
thereof did not put the ''John'' by her steerage and<br />
further saving his foregoeing deposition hee cannot<br />
Answer./
To the 3rd Negatively/:
To the 4th he saith that the ''Mary Rose'' after shee<br />
was Cleered of the ''John'' sailed on her Course and<br />
left the ''John'' at Anchor in safety as aforesaid and<br />
further hee saith hee cannot Answer./.
To the 5th hee saith that the winde the time interrate<br />
was at South West or West South West and the winde<br />
blowing allmost directly out of Tinmouth Haven<br />
and further cannot Answer:-/:-
To the 6th hee saith that the place where the ''John'' was soe<br />
left at Anchor is about three shipps long and broad and<br />
saith that the Companyes of ships that are asterne, doe<br />
Generally observe the Course of the ships ahead<br />
and endeavour to keepe Cleare of them by slackening<br />
their sailes and otherwise, And further cannot Answer.
