To the sayd Interrogatories he saith the sayd goods and provisions were all<br />
imployed in and for the sayd shipp ''Three Sisters'' and not in or<br />
upon or for any other shipp. And the same were delivered on board<br />
as aforesayd howbeit he saith he cannot positively sweare that<br />
he saw every particular parcell delivered on board, but many<br />
of them he did see delivered, and had the testimony of his<br />
Mariners and Agents for the rest. And saith for his part he<br />
doth not know how much of any of the sayd bills hath bene<br />

Interrogatories ministred on the behalfe of the<br />
said ffrancis hollis, saith and deposeth<br />
as followeth./
To the first and second Interrogatories (upon which alone hee is by Mr<br />
Shepards direction examined) hee saith and deposeth that hee well knew<br />
the shipp the ''Recovery'' interrogated whereof ffrancis hollis interrogated<br />
was master, and saith that in her last voyage (out ward bound) for<br />
New Castle namely on valentines day being the 14th of ffebruary<br />
last past shee came into Company of this deponents shipp,<br />
the ''Humphrey'' of London, alsoe bound for Newcastle, and steered<br />
along with her and some other shipps, intending to keepe company<br />
together to New Castle, but saith that the next day after namely<br />
on friday, shee sprung such in an incurable leake, that being<br />
at sea, the water came in soe fast that it was past help to stop the<br />
same and save her, and saith this deponent with his said shipp<br />
laye longe by her, and sent his carpenter and severall of his<br />
men aboard her to help to stopp her leake and save her, but they<br />
finding it impossible to be done, after an houre or thereabouts<br />
they had bin aboard the ''Recovery'' and with the ''Recoveries'' company<br />
used all diligence for saving the said shipp, both they and the said<br />
master and company of the ''Recovery'' were for safeguard of their lives<br />
forced to quit her and flie into this deponents shipp, and soe the<br />
''Recovery'' sunck into the sea and was lost, this deponent seeing her sincking [?when]<br />
