Amsterdam, where shee was laden with the goods that were aboard her at the<br />
time of her seizure, being sixteene hundred Northsea deales, eight<br />
thousand pipestaves and three lasts of herrings and one case of harlem stuff, all for accompt of his said<br />
owners, and for this deponents owne accompt a last of herring, and<br />
for this deponent and shipps companies joint accompt twelve dozen of<br />
greene matted stooles or chaires, together with about two thousand eight<br />
hundred of painted bricks for flooring, and his company had some<br />
goods apart to themselves, the particulars whereof hee remembreth not,<br />
And otherwise saving as aforesaid hee cannot answer.
To the 8th hee saith there were eight men and two boyes of his company<br />
and saith they and this deponent were and are all dutch, and none of<br />
them a Spaniard or subiect of the King of Spaine, and that hee this<br />
deponent the master was borne at Laydon, but is a burgher of Amsterdam.
To the nineth hee saith hee was not to receive any freight for the said<br />
goods, they being for the owners of the said shipp their accompt as aforesaid,<br />
saveing such as aforesaid as belonged to this deponent and company, which<br />
said goods belonging to this deponent and company hee saith are not<br />
assured, nor knoweth hee of any assurance made of the said owners good,<br />
or the shipp, and saith hee hath not taken up any money upon<br />
bottomrie.
To the last hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition and cannot<br />
otherwise depose.
