da Rumbida and alsoe the said Sierra and Sericola have (by letters sent<br />
to the said ffernandez which this deponent hath seene) acknowledged the<br />
receipt of the said goods and merchanizes. And otherwise hee cannot<br />
depose.
To the seaventh hee saith that in an by the letters and orders of the said<br />
Marcus de la Rumbida, soe given to the said ffernandez for the<br />
buying and providing the said goods, hee promised and undertooke<br />
to pay and satisfie him for the same, all such summes of money<br />
as hee should lay out and expand for the same, together with all<br />
charges, and alsoe the summe of eight pounds per centum for every<br />
hundred pounds sterling for soe long time as the same should be<br />
unpaid, which hee knoweth having seene his letters and orders<br />
to that purpose. And otherwise hee cannot depose,
To the eighth hee saith the said marcus da la Rumbida hath had and<br />
received the proffit and benefit of the said marchandizes from the said<br />
[?Siarra] and [?Sericolea], or at least the accounts for the s[?ame]<br />
and otherwise hee cannot depose.
To the nineth hee saith that the said Marcus da la Rumbida<br />
hath bin sent to by and from the said fernandez<br />
to pay and satisfie the summes of money doe unto him the<br />
said fernandez with the interest after the rate aforesaid, which hee<br />
knoweth having seene letters written hence to that purpose. And<br />
the said Rumbida hath denied to doe the same in this deponents<br />
presence and hearing, whereby the said ferenandez hath suffered<br />
greate losse and damage. And otherwise hee cannot depose.
To the tenth article hee saith and deposeth that in the said time<br />
nemely in or about the moneth of October in the yeare 1644 the<br />
said Marcus da la Rumbida had and received at Paris and other<br />
places in ffrance upon the credit and account of the said Antonio<br />
ffernandez Caravashall the number of 338 crownes, amounting in<br />
sterling money to 72 ''li'' 7 ''s'' 6 ''d'', which hee knoweth being then in ffrance<br />
with him, and delivereing to him part of the moneys in behalfe of<br />
the said mr ffernandez and seeing his letters of credit from fernandez<br />
for the rest, and being specially acquainted with his receipt of<br />
the said rest, and passing the same to accompt; and the said Marcus<br />
da la Rumbida promised to pay and satisfy the same back to the<br />
said fernandez. And otherwise hee cannot depose.
To the eleaventh hee saith that within the time aforesaid the said fernandez at<br />
the instance and by the order of the said Marcus da la Rumbida<br />
paid and caused to be paid to the use of the brothers of the said Rumbida<br />
the summe of eightie seaven pounds and twelve shillings sterling<br />
which hee knoweth having passed the sume to accompt for the said fernandez<br />
