that the sayd Keene hearing that this deponent and others who –<br />
were the company of the ''Anne Pinck'' of Bristowe had had their seyd<br />
vessell cast away neere Chippione not farr Off of Saint Lucar<br />
did desyre this deponent and the rest of the sayd shipps company to –<br />
goe with him his voyage to Palma but this deponent and all the sayd<br />
shipps company told him they would not goe any voyage but for<br />
England, for that the sayd Keene seeing hee could not get noe Mariners<br />
to goe with him his voyage to Palma did at Saint Lucar take in a –<br />
lading of goods for London, whereupon this deponent and the rest of the<br />
sayd Pinke ''Anne'' of Bristowes company, did shipp them selves in the<br />
sayd vessell the ''John and Elizabeth'' and did sayle her from St Lucar<br />
to this Port of London And further he cannot depose
To the 10th hee saith hee well knoweth the arlates- Mr Peter Probee and<br />
Mr Edward Watts and saith they are English men merchants of good –<br />
repute and accompt in Saint Lucar and soe generally accompted And –<br />
further to this article- hee cannot depose /

To the first he saith hee cometh to testifie the truth of his knowledge<br />
In this cause at the request of Edward Keene the producent to whome<br />
hee is noe way related saving hee served as a Mariner in his sayd<br />
shipp ''John and Elizabeth'' in her voyage from Saint Lucar to London and was –<br />
none of her company in her outward bound voyage from London/
To the second he saith the shipp Interr’ was fitted and repayred<br />
at Saint Lucar for a voyage, and did there take a freight for –<br />
London and saith hee well knoweth the sayd vessell could not soe well have gone to Palma<br />
as for London for that noe Mariner would engage to goe in her upon<br />
noe condition to Palma And further to this Interr’ he cannot depose<br />
not being any of her company when shee came from London./
