Transcription To the Interrogatoryes. [CENTRE HEADING] To the Interrogatoryes. [CENTRE HEADING] To the first Interrogatory he answereth that he knoweth all the<br /> persons named in this Interrogatory they being all Mariners in the<br /> shipp interrate in the voyage interrate, wherin this Rendent<br /> was one, that he hath knowne them noe longer then this<br /> voyage, that the interrate shipp the ''Stambaleene'' went from<br /> Gravesend to Cales, from Cales to Mesina, from Mesina to<br /> Smirna and there delivered her outward bound lading and tooke<br /> in her homeward bound Lading, and arrived at this Port of<br /> London about the beginning of December last, and that the<br /> sayd shipp lay safe in her moorings neere Radcliff That the<br /> ship interrare was twice taken in her course from Smirna to<br /> this Port of London by the ffrench, and all the sayd shipps<br /> Company plundered and stripped of all whatsoever they had even of<br /> their shirts, wherby they did endure much hardshipp and<br /> misery And further he cannot answere. To the second Interrogatory he answereth that there were on board the<br /> shipp interrate 6 men and boyes (as he hath predeposed) when<br /> the disaster happened, and that they had been sufficient to have<br /> lookt to the said shipp (she being safely moored) had not the<br /> said disaster by fire happened in her, and he answereth that<br /> he beleiveth the said Mariners did in the sayd voyage doe<br /> their dutyes with care and honesty And further he cannot<br /> answeare. To the third Interrogatory he answeareth negatively. To the fourth he answereth that he is servant to the<br /> interrate William Crump, And to the rest of the sayd<br /> Interrogatory he answereth negatively./ To the fifth Interrogatory he answereth that he was not on shoare<br /> after the shipp interrate came into this River of Thames<br /> untill she was burnt but that one time predeposed of when<br /> he went ashoare with the Master and that a while after he<br /> returned on board and bad them that were on board her to<br /> have a care of the said shipp or to looke to her and<br /> to have a care of the fire, as his Master the producent<br /> had commanded him, and that that was all (to his<br /> best remembrance) he had in command from his said<br /> Master, And further for his part he canot answere Repeated before Doctor Clerke./ The marke of the sayd<br /> Samuel '''S''' Samboe [MARKE, RH SIDE] *************************************** 13th of ffebruary 1654.
