Transcription The 10th of June 1653. [CENTRE HEADING] TThe 10th of June 1653. [CENTRE HEADING] The claime of the said Pinquett for}<br /> his goods in the ''Sampson'', ''Salvador'' and}<br /> ''Saint George''.} Examined upon the foresaid allegation and<br /> schedules. '''2.''' '''ffrancisco Boesdonck''' Cashier and Booke-keeper<br /> of James Pinquett the partie producent aged 20 yeares<br /> or thereabouts sworne and examined. To the first and second articles of the said allegation hee saith and deposeth<br /> that hee well knoweth the producent Jacques Pinquet and hath soe<br /> donne for theise foure yeares and a half last past, during which time hee hath lived<br /> with and bin servant to him said Jacques, and hath bin his cashier and<br /> booke keeper for all the time arlate and thereby and the reasons following<br /> hee well knoweth as hee saith that hee the said producent was and is<br /> the true, lawfull and sole owner and proprietor of all and singular<br /> the money plate and silver mentioned in the 12 schedules or bills of<br /> lading annexed to the said allegation and nowe showed unto him, and for such<br /> commonly accompted and reputed. And saith the said producent for all<br /> the said time of this deponents said knowledge of and dwelling with<br /> him, hath lived in and bin and is a merchant of Antwerp, where<br /> as this deponent hath bin informed hee dwelt eleaven or twelve yeares<br /> before this deponents comming soe to dwell with him, and was and is<br /> a native of [?Courin] in fflanders, and kept his wife and familie in<br /> Antwerp and was and is a subiect of the kinge of Spaine ad for<br /> such commonly accompted and reputed, And saith that for all rge said<br /> time of this deponents dwelling with him, hee the said producent<br /> hath driven and still doth drive a greate trade and commerce to<br /> Cales and Saint Lucar for money and plate but especially to Cadiz, and hath had<br /> and hath his factors there residing, who receive his goods sent from<br /> fflanders, and send him retournes thereof in plate and moneys, and that<br /> within theise two yeares last past the said producent hath sent from<br /> fflanders to his said factors to Calez many and greate quantities of<br /> goods to be there disposed of and sold by them for the uying and getting<br /> silver and plate to be sent in retourne thereof by them to him to fflanders,<br /> which hee knoweth being his servant as aforesaid, and acquainted with the<br /> buying packing and sending away such goods for Spaine to his said<br /> factors, and making the entries and keeping the accompts thereof<br /> and coppying the letters of order and advise sent to the said factors<br /> thereabouts. And otherwise hee cannot depose. To the third dourth and fifth bills of lading or schedules aforesaid annexed<br /> hee saith and deposeth that within the time arlate and more particularly<br /> in or about the monethes of August and September last past the said<br /> producent by his respective factors Maximillian de hogh and ffrancis de la Sierpe<br /> at Cadiz did lade and put aboard the severall shipps arlate the<br /> severall quantities and summes of plate and silver mentioned<br /> and expressed in the said bills of lading annexed and marked and<br /> numbred as in the said bills is specified, namely on board the<br /> shipp the ''Sampson'' Otto George master three baggs No. 11. 12. 13 each [FIRST MARKE, LH MARGIN] with four hundred peeces of eight, old Peru [?mine], marked with the first<br /> marke in the margent, alsoe one barr of silver no. 2. weighing 104 [SECOND MARKE, LH MARGIN] markes and two ounces of the second marke in the margent.
