aboard his sayd shipp the ''Saint George'' … aboard his sayd shipp the ''Saint George'' three bills of lading all of one tenor for the<br />
sayd twelve baggs conteyning three thousand peices of eight of Peru<br />
one whereof was left with the sayd master of the ''Saint George'' and the two other were<br />
by this deponents precontest Diego Maistre delivered to the sayd Hjeronimo<br />
Brudgmans Annd saith that the bill of lading to the allegation annexed<br />
and now shewne to him this examinate having att the foot thereof this<br />
name John Martinsforp is one of the sayd originall bills of lading<br />
which this deponent knoweth by the contents marke and numbers, and<br />
by the handwriting of Diego Maistre his precontest whom he saw<br />
fill up the same, and of the sayd John Martinsdorp whom he<br />
sawe signe and firme the same as aforesayd. And saith he saw likewise<br />
the arlate Christian Cloppenbergh signe three bills of lading all of<br />
one tenor for the sayd fifteene baggs of moneyes of Peru<br />
conteyning in the whole three thousand seven hundred and fifty peices<br />
as aforesayd aboard his shipp the ''Salvador'', one of which billls was left<br />
with the sayd Cloppenbergh and the two other were by Diego Maistre<br />
aforesayd delivered to his master Jeronimo Brudgmands, And saith that<br />
by the markes numbers contents and firmes aswell of the bill of lading<br />
annexed to the allegation =for the sayd fifteene baggs, as of the other<br />
bill of lading for the barrs of sylver to the sayd allegation likewise<br />
annexed he is well assured that the sayd bills are the very originall<br />
Bills for the sayd moneys and plate in them respectively mentioned<br />
And saith that three bills of lading, videlicet one of each different<br />
tenor respectively were as hee verily beleiveth on board the sayd<br />
shipps respectively att the tyme of seizxure. And further referring<br />
himselfe to the Acts of this Court he cannot depose.
