Examined upon the said Allegation:-/

in Spaine Merchant aged 28. yeares or<br />
thereabouts a Wittnesse sworne and examined:/:
To the first hee saith hee hath for theise ten yeares last past or there<br />
abouts knowne the producent John Bollart by meanes of Correspondence<br />
and trade between the said producent, and this deponents father and himselfe, and saith the<br />
said John Bollart is a Merchant of Antwerp who for all that time hath driven<br />
and still driveth a very great trade to Cadiz and Saint Lucar and other places in Spaine, to which<br />
places hee hath sent divers great and very considerable quanities of goods wares<br />
and Merchandizes from Ostend or dunquirke in fflanders to his ffactors Agents or<br />
Correspondents in Spaine, who from time to time have received and disposed of the<br />
same for his accompt, and made him retournes thereof in silver plate and<br />
bullion, And for a Merchant of such trade and negotiation the said producent<br />
was and is commonly reputed. Which this deponent knoweth being a Merchant of<br />
Saint Lucar in Spaine, who for all the time predeposed hath had damiliar acquaintance<br />
with the said producents factors who have from tyme to tyme showne him the goods<br />
by them received from the said producent, and acquainted him with the returnes of them<br />
which they had made or intended to make unto the said producent. And otherwise<br />
cannot depose:-
To the third article of the said Allegation hee saith and deposeth, That in the yeares<br />
1651. and 1652. and moneths therein respectively concurring or some of them<br />
this deponent being severall times at Cadiz upon his affaires of Merchandizeing and<br />
by reason of his Correspondency with the said producent, being familiarly acquainted with<br />
Mr Gerard Ryper John Lopez de Molina John Baptista and Pedro de<br />
Zoletta the said producents ffactors residing at Cadiz, the said ffactors declared and<br />
showed unto this deponent severall goods wares and merchandizes remaining in their<br />
hands, which, as this deponent both by their owne declaration and the producents letters of<br />
advise then perused by this deponent observed) were sent unto them from fflanders by the<br />
said producent, videlicet fflanders stuffs linnen and laces and other commodities [?XXX]<br />
and instructions in the said letters either to sell the said goods there, or to send them to the [?Indies]<br />
there to be sold and disposed of for silver plate and moneys for his account which<br />
the said ffactors accordingly did. And otherwise to this article hee cannot depose.
