the goods and merchandizes of them the say … the goods and merchandizes of them the sayd producents merchants<br />
of Hamburgh. And further that he this deponent by the order<br />
of the sayd Mayer did fetch and take the foresayd goods<br />
out of the warehouses packhouses and yards of the severall<br />
merchants Inhabitants of Lubeck of whom the sayd Mayer had so<br />
bought and provided the same for the accompt aforesayd, and from<br />
thense saw them all carryed a shipboard. And otherwise he<br />
saith he cannot depose.
To the third and fourth articles of the sayd allegatio he saith that the sayd shipp the<br />
''Hope'' and her lading were seized on or about the 22th day of<br />
September last past old stile, and that on or about the first day of October<br />
last past this deponent came to London and within 4 or 5 dayes<br />
or thereabouts mett upon the Exchange with his precontest Antonio ffernandez Carvajal<br />
who had made enquiry after this deponents sayd shipp. And then<br />
and there the sayd Antonio ffernandez told and declared to<br />
this deponent that he the sayd Antonio had receyved a letter of<br />
advise from the sayd Manuel and ffrancis dirickson with<br />
order to nake enquiry for and touhcing the sayd shipp ''Hope'' and<br />
sayd Lading and for him this deponent in case he should heare<br />
that the sayd shipp were taken and brought into any port here<br />
and that the sayd letter did advertise that the sayd shipps lading did<br />
wholly belong to the sayd diricksons
