'''1us.''' '''Simon Cornelison''' of fflushing in Zealand Mariner<br /> aged 45 yeares or thereabouts, sworne and examined. To the first article of the said allegation hee saith and deposeth that in and for<br /> all the time arlat, videlicet for and during a yeares space last past and upwards<br /> the producent Peter [?Velinx] (who was and is very well knowne unto him this<br /> deponent) hath bin and is the sole owner and proprietor of the said shipp the<br /> ''Winter kinge'' and of her tackle apparell and furniture, and for such commonly<br /> accompted and reputed, and saith that hee the said [?velinx] is a dutchman borne<br /> betweene whom and this Nation there was and is peace and amitie. All<br /> which hee knoweth being himselfe an Inhabitant of fflushing where hee hath<br /> knowne the said [?Veluix] to have dwelt from his youth. And otherwise<br /> saving what followeth hee cannot depose. <br /> To the second article of the said allegation hee saith and deposeth that within<br /> the said time and more particularly in the moneth of June last past the said<br /> Peter [?Veluix] by his factor Monsieur Basserada laded<br /> the said shipp the ''Winter kinge'' with Rice and wheate at doulau in<br /> Quinparley in Bretany, amounting to 30 lastes of Rice and wheate as hee hath<br /> heard the quantitie estimated) to be thence carried and transported in the said<br /> shipp for fflushing arlate for the proper accompt of him the said<br /> Peter [?Veluix], which hee knoweth being steersman of the said vessell and seeing<br /> the said corne soe laden, and besides the same hee saith there were two<br /> tonnes of wheate laden by and for the masters and one tonne of wheate<br /> for this deponent and the rest of the companys accompte, aboard the said shipp<br /> And otherwise hee cannot depose.
