wise for his parte hee doeth not beleeve<br />
the said position to bee true in any parte<br />
thereof.
To the 10th pretensed position hee answereth and<br />
accepteh the Contents of this<br />
position soe farre as the same doe<br />
make for him and not otherwise and<br />
hee beleeveth that upon the 5th of Septem<br />
ber 1649 the said shippe the ''Roebucke''<br />
set saile from Perrawe aforesaid with <br />
the said sugars and Tobaccoes onboard<br />
her towards Lisborne and in her course<br />
thither the said shipp and her ladeing<br />
were taken by a fleete of shipps under<br />
the Command of Prince Rupert upon<br />
the 18th of November 1649 And other=<br />
wise for his parte hee doeth not beleeve the<br />
said position to bee true in any parte thereof
To the 11th pretensed position hee answereth and<br />
beleeveth that hee this Rendent and the<br />
merchants freighters had onboard the<br />
said shippe att the time of her seizure<br />
for theire owne proper Accounts the value<br />
of 13000 ''li'' worth of goods or thereabouts and alsoe the<br />
freight of the rest of the said shipps ladeing<br />
which must have come to the said<br />
merchants in case the same had come<br />
safe home would have amounted to<br />
1500 ''li'' more and this rendent further<br />
beleeveth that a great part of the said<br />
shipps ladeing did belonge to Subiects<br />
of the Kinge of Portugall And otherwiset;
