Most worthy famous and vertuous Quene may yt
please yo^ur Ma^tie the same to be advitysed that att my
arryvall to our Port Argeale I fynd cten of yo^ur people
to the number of sixetene indetted and pawned in this o^ur
porte beinge as I preave pawned by a captayne of
yo^ur Court called Edward Glemham whoe lefte eight of
these yo^or soldyers and maryners pledges for money and victaull
for the revictillinge of his shipp And yo^ur Capteyn retorning
to our port from the sea pretendnige to paye his Detts
sent his boate w^th eight men more ashore w^ch are likewise
here stayed for the Townes better securytye he settinge
salye in a storme and as yett I preave noe meanes
