More stats post launch of MarineLives PhD Forum
Daily web hits on the MarineLives website are rising, in tandem with rising blog hits (11.40 a.m., 24/10/12)
Launch of MarineLives PhD Forum: 22nd October 2012
Blog hits in 24 hours from 07.38am on 22nd October to 07.37 on 23rd October 2012
- There were four peaks of blog access activity on Monday 22nd October 2012.
- These four peaks follow the four launch tweets sent on the MarineLives Twitter account, with decreasing impact
- The first Tweet was the most effêctive in terms of stimulating blog access
- The third Tweet led to slightly more activity than the second
- The fourth and last Tweet was the had the least effect on blog activity, presumably as the pool of potentially interested tweet recipients became exhausted, and perhaps becauseof the evening timing of the Tweet?
- MarineLives website activity was somewhat raised, but not very significantly. This is unsurprising, since the Tweet link was to the blog, not the website
- MarineLives on Facebook views were pretty good for a first day, with 29 people seeing the post by 08.00 on Tuesday 23rd October 2012. However there is only currently one "talking about" on the site. The site currently has 40 likes, and the best viewed site posting is the Russian posting from September 21st 2012 (46 views, of which 40 were organic and 6 viral). The Facebook posting is identical to the blog posting and seels interested readers to email phdforum@marinelives.org
